Finished Jingo and Fifth Elephant
Had to skip Night Watch (my e-copy of it was iffily formatted) and now reading Thud!; probably going to start on some Rincewind books soon, probably The Last Continent.
And then it’s Witches arc time~
But Night Watch is soooo good.

this conversation happened around the time of the earthquakes in japan.
i love my mom a lot and i’m going to draw a nice comic about her soon to make up for this, but sometimes she makes me want to become a republican out of spite
this was me and my dad right after the earthquake. of course, right after i made my big argument about how things weren’t that bad and nuclear power is safer now, every single possible thing went wrong in the cleanup, the facility caught on fire repeatedly, and radiation spewed all over the fukushima region, so i just ended up looking like a total idiot :V
I had this same argument with my mom. I think I at least managed to convince her that Chernobyl was the stupidest thing ever and not really much of a comparison.

Moon
The moon was just amazing tonight. Very low on the horizon, so it had the effect of being magnified, as well as a slight orange tint. However, it was a perfect one quarter crescent. It looked like a slice of orange, bent slightly from pressure at the corners, just floating in the night sky.

I bought a book today.
I didn’t really plan to, I just wandered into the bookstore out of habit. I figured on just browsing a bit, maybe see if there was anything interesting on the magazine rack. But then I saw a book.
Curse of the Wolf Girl by Martin Millar.

It’s apparently a sequel to Lonely Werewolf Girl, a book I really enjoyed. One of those great books that leaves you wanting more at the end, but I never expected there to be any more to it. It’s a well written, incredibly funny book, but without being over the top or losing sight of the story. Everything is presented with a straight face and it works.
At any rate, when I saw this one on the shelves, I had to get it. It’s an effort not to just dump what I’m currently reading and start on my new book.
